On anonymity: I tend to be very sparing in my use of names, and I wanted this to be a story about a man and a woman connecting in the end. So glad you enjoy that bit!

When I first saw this ep I was struck with the various power shifts throughout the story, and I knew that if I wrote any fic for this fandom at all, it would start right here. I don't usually write episode-centered fic, so I'm thrilled that you found this a good use of canon; that's what I was hoping for!
